Agustin Kitchen Tucson

Three-time Iron Chef Tucson winner Ryan Clark has sold his interest in Mercado San Agustín’s flagship restaurant Agustín Kitchen. His last dinner will be Tuesday evening, during the restaurant’s Dinner with Chefs event featuring Agustín’s Chef De Cuisine Brandon Dillon.Clark said plans are still being finalized as to whom will take over management and chef duties for the restaurant. He sold his share to his two partners Adam Weinstein and Jerry Dixon of The Gadsden Company, owners of the Mercado San Agustín at 100 S. Avenida del Convento. “We’re happy with what we did at Agustín promoting the community and bringing everyone together and sending our message out,” he said. “Unfortunately we weren’t able to continue that.” Clark said he was “devastated” about leaving the restaurant. He says he has already had several inquiries, but that he is open to opportunities.  “We’re gonna make something happen over the next few months. I just don’t know what it’s going to be yet,” he said. Interested parties can email him at ryan@chefryanclark.com. “I’d love to stay in Tucson. I love the community,” he said.

AraTucson (Los Angeles)·Dined on April 26, 2017The food at Agustin has improved since the change of management. Still it's not the carefully prepared, creative food they had when it was Agustin Brasserie. The noise in the restaurant may be too much for some. The outside patio looks very nice provided that there is no loud music.Tags: Modern Decor, Business MealsWas this review useful to you?Yes·No·Reportfood4ambience4service4value3

vipKathyH (Tucson)·Dined on April 9, 2017While the restaurant was not terribly busy, it did take a while for the food to come, but our waiter was very attentive. Brought out a pastry from the chef to nibble on while we waited. This is the second time we have eaten at Agustin Kitchen prior to a TSO concert. Lunch or brunch and then the concert make for a very nice Sunday afternoon. Just be sure to let them know that you have a time limitation, if that is the case.Tags: Good for a Date, Neighborhood Gem, Pre/post Theatre, Special Occasion, Great for Lunch, Open Kitchen, CasualWas this review useful to you?Yes·No·Reportfood3ambience3service4value3

carriemarie (Tucson)·Dined on May 7, 2017It was disappointing to learn that their cocktail menu was out of date and they now only offer cocktails with bourbon or gin. Service was slow. Food was cold. Everything was expensive. Coworkers have recommended this restaurant, so maybe it was just an off night. I was really disappointed though. Was this review useful to you?Yes·No·Reportfood3ambience3service2value2
